About Me

Hi there! Thank you for finding me! I’m Carina and I currently wear many hats- Mama of boys, Certified Child Sleep Consultant, Certified Lactation Counselor and Clinical Social Worker. My oldest son inspired my lactation journey, my youngest led me to become a sleep consultant. In each case, I turned to a professional trained in each area and was amazed at how much knowledge, support and guidance I received.

The stars aligned for me and I realized how my career as a clinical social worker, with a specialization in infant, toddlers and parenting, could support my new obsessions of lactation and sleep. Everything I’ve learned and practiced over the last ten plus years about child development and behavior, and supporting parents intersects beautifully with the worlds of lactation and child sleep.

Deciding to work with a certified sleep consultant was life changing for my entire family. Sleep (or lack of it!) impacts the whole family functioning. Sure, I could have googled or read a few books to help- but who has time for that? As a Certified Child Sleep Consultant, I strive to take the guesswork out for you. I will support your goals with a caring, thoughtful and non-judgmental listening ear.

Why Me?

My professional and personal background make me uniquely qualified to help your little one learn the sleep they need, and to support you to make it happen!

I’ve supported countless parents of infants, toddlers and preschoolers through challenging times as a clinical social worker. I understand how demanding parenting is- both as a professional and as a Mom. And I know the value of a full night sleep and of a non-judgmental accountability partner. I can get you both in two weeks!

The extensive training I received at the Family Sleep Institute (FSI) is unparalleled in the field. We learn research-based sleep science and practices that I can apply to almost any situation. We don’t learn just one method of sleep training but instead learn how to meet the individual needs of families and children. FSI provides ongoing training  through continuing education classes and ongoing support from graduates and instructors.

I can support you and your family through every step- as a Sleep Consultant, a Therapist and a Mom.
